Meet Our Met Team! (2025)

Urban Climate Application Lab,
The Faculty of Architecture,
The University of Hong Kong

The Research Group of Prof. Chao REN at the 12th International Conference on Urban Climate, Rotterdam

There are currently 3 post-doc fellows, 2 PhD students, 1 research assistant in the research team.

We investigate the interplay between microclimate and urban morphology, develop mapping system for urban climate, and analyze the thermal comfort and public health risk in high-density cities. By conducting multi-dimensional and cross-disciplinary research, our work focuses on climatic analysis and their application in spatial planning.

Transferring scientific data into new knowledge, our research output aims not only to form the theoretical basis in this emerging and exciting field, but also serve to inform policy-makers and support evidence-based design.
