Converging Divergence 盛放‧匯聚 [HKMetS e-Bulletin vol. 26, 2022]
Our members are earnestly waiting for a year again and we are back now, with the second volume of “Converging Divergence 盛放‧匯聚” by the “All Ladies Editorial Board” (Ms. Olivia Lee, Dr. Wen Zhou and Dr. Chong Sze-ning). Our bulletin lives up to its name as it contains contributions from authors coming from different institutes/organizations, all with the same passion for meteorology.

Annual General Meeting held on 15 December 2022
Seventy-two members attended the Annual General Meeting of the Hong Kong Meteorological Society at the Hong Kong Observatory headquarters or online. Dr. CHENG Cho-ming will continue to serve as the Chairman for another year.

The Weather of November 2022 – An unseasonably wet and warm November
With the northeast monsoon over southern China generally weaker than normal for most of the time in the month, the mean minimum temperature of 22.0 degrees and mean temperature of 23.4 degrees were 1.7 degrees and 1.2 degrees above the respective normals and were respectively the second and the third highest for November on record. Together with the exceptionally hot September 2022, Hong Kong experienced the warmest autumn (Sep – Nov) on record this year.
